ADMISSIONS POLICY

Eastway Primary serves the Eastway community and surrounding area.

Eastway Governors manage the admissions for our Early Years Places, 2 and 3/4 Year Olds. Applications for a place can be submitted on the Expression Of Interest Forms below.

Both Explorer and Nursery sessions are from 8.45am-11.45 am for our morning children and 12.15- 15.15pm for our afternoon children.  We also offer flexible extended hours at the beginning or end of the school day. If you would like any more information about either 2 year old funding or 30 hour funding please speak to the school office.

All pupils must be registered with the name that appears on their birth certificate. If there are more applicants than places available, the Governing Body will operate the admissions criteria set down by the Local Authority.

Children are admitted in to our Reception Class at the beginning of the school year in which they will be five. Places are not offered by the school and applications must completed and returned to the Local Authority. Details below.

ADMISSIONS POLICY FOR LOCAL AUTHORITY SEN RESOURCE BASES

Pupils are admitted to the Local Authority SEN resource bases as a result of the EHCP process operated by the Local Authority. This procedure reflects the requirements of the ‘Code of Practice’ for Special Educational Needs pupils. Eastway does not offer places in the bases and being a mainstream pupil at Eastway does not give your child access to Resource Base provision. For further information on SEN Resource Base Provision, please contact your EHCP coordinator.
