The IoG sets out the constitution of a maintained school’s governing body. This means how many governors of each type sit on the governing body and the length of their terms of office.
 
We are known as the Governing Body of Eastway Primary School
 
We are a Local Authority Community School and our Governing Body consists of:
 
1 Local Authority Governor (Joanne Simpson, Vice Chair)
 
2 Parent Governors (Joseph Morlino and Laura Laing)
 
1 Staff Governor (Liam Thomas)
 
1 Headteacher Governor (Faye Benson - the headteacher is a member of the governing body by virtue of their position)
 
7 Co Opted Governors (Lyn Eaton (Chair of Governors), Claire Mander, Kate Barlow, Kaitlin Brown, Jess Stock and Jon Matthews - 1 vacancy)
