Welcome to the Reception Class webpage!

Reception is an exciting time in your child's learning journey as they develop their independence, confidence and curiosity through a balance of play, exploration and purposeful learning experiences.

Daily Requirements

Please ensure your child brings the following to school each day:

A coat – whatever the weather!
A clearly labelled water bottle
School uniform, with all items clearly labelled to help prevent lost property

Spare Clothes

We strongly recommend that every child has a bag of spare clothes kept on their peg in school. These do not need to be school uniform.

Reception is very much a hands-on learning environment, and children may sometimes get wet, muddy or messy as they explore and learn. Having spare clothes available means your child can quickly change and remain comfortable, happy and ready to learn.

Below you will find information to support you and your child this half term, including our Long-Term Plan and daily timetable. We hope these resources give you a useful insight into what your child will be learning and experiencing in Reception.
