We are looking forward to lots of exciting learning with your children this term.
Your support at home is vital to help your child reach their full potential. Make sure to read with them every day and chat to them about what they are learning at school.

Home Learning Expectations
Daily Reading
Your child will bring home a range of books to read daily. If your child is following our phonics programme, they will bring home two familiar books that they are able to decode and read confidently to you. They will also bring books that they may require support reading.
Maths Skills
Your child will have a login for Numbots or TT Rockstars. This is an interactive maths game to develop fluency with counting and times tables. This is celebrated in our weekly school learning assembly.
Eastway Encyclopaedia- Home Learning Task
Each week we will also set a more open ended home-learning task linked to what children have been learning in school. In the task, we will let you know what we have been learning in class and give you some ideas for how to show off your learning, but you are not limited to this: be as creative as you like! These should be completed as a double page in their home-learning log. We hope this gives opportunity for you to talk with your child about what they have been learning and then develop their creativity in how they will show this. Home-learning logs should be returned to school every Tuesday and will be sent back home with a new task each Thursday.
