Early Years Information
Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential. Children develop quickly in the early years and a child’s experiences between birth and age five have a major impact on their future life chances. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right. Good parenting and high quality early learning together provide the foundation children need to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up.
We want all children to develop their personalities, talents and abilities irrespective of ethnicity, culture or religion, home language, family background, learning difficulties, disabilities or gender.
At Eastway Primary School we pride ourselves on providing quality learning experiences with a well-qualified, skilled staff who deliver the best possible outcomes for the children in our care.

We have development our own Eastway Matters curriculum based on the Development Matter guidance.
We offer a wide range of provision for all families and their child/ren:
- Funded & paid for childcare places for 2 year olds in our purpose built Eastway Explorers room and outdoor area
- Funded Nursery places for 3-4 Year olds in our teacher led extended room and outdoor area
- Wraparound care from 7:45am till 6:00pm
- Amazing outdoor spaces, including our own orchard, nature reserve, pond, field and forest school
- Highly trained and experienced staff
- We are a partnership school with the ADHD Foundation®, Early Excellence® and Foundation Years Trust®
- Sensory provision and access to outstanding support for children with special educational needs
- Parenting courses and classes- PEEP Programme, Family Works, Weaning, Potting Training and a whole lot more!
- We have our own social supermarket, FREE uniform store, family support coffee mornings, drop ins, workshops, book swap shed full of free books to take home and lots, lots more!
