I am delighted to welcome you to our school website. I hope that it will give you a flavour of our unique and wonderful school.
We are incredibly proud of our school and the work that we do with our children, families and the wider community. Our tagline at Eastway is 'Bringing Learning to Life' and so we ensure that our learning opportunities are fun, engaging and relevant to our children as well as equipping them with the knowledge, skills and dispositions they need for future life.
We love and value every unique child and ensure that their individual needs are met in our fully inclusive school with well trained, committed and knoweldgeable staff and outstandingly resourced classrooms, sensory provision, intervention areas and beautiful outdoor spaces. We are a partnership school with ADHD Foundation and CAMHS MHST and provide therapeutic support and intervention for all children through a very bespoke programme of intervention. We have three Wirral LA SEN Resource Bases for children with EHCPs for Social Communication Difficulties and are an Attachment Friendly, Trauma Informed and Mental Health Aware school. We have two Mental Health First Aiders, Senior Mental Health Practitioner, Drawing & Talking therapist, Thrive Practioner, dyslexia teacher, Reading Recovery teacher, ELSA , enhanced Speech and Language support and a private educational psychologist.
Our Birth to 5 and Beyond provision allows us offer support to our families and the community in our well resourced, welcoming Family Centre and Early Years Unit. Children can join us full time after their 2nd birthday. We prioritise giving our youngest children and their family unit the best possible start to their education and enhancing the home learning environment for all our pupils. We have developed our own Eastway Matters Curriculum which ensures that our youngest children are provided with exceptional experiences and that firm foundations are laid for future learning.
We have full wraparound childcare including holiday provision, our own sports field, Forest School, orchard, nature reserve, Social Supermarket, adult training rooms, uniform shop, sensory spaces, School Therapy dog, Hogwarts Common Room library, Family Wellbeing Lead, swimming pool and much, much more!
If you need any further information about our school and the important part that Eastway plays in our local community, please get in touch or arrange a visit.
Look forward to seeing you all very soon.
Mrs Morris, Headteacher
